Cornbread

This past Thursday was my grandma’s birthday.  I had originally wanted to celebrate her birthday by making one of her recipes but then realized that I didn’t have all the ingredients.  I made it today in honor of her.  When I was growing up, we made this whenever my dad made his chili.  It is so simple to make and pairs great with so many meals!

Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups Bisquick
  • 2 Blocks Butter, Room Temperature
  • 6 Tablespoons Cornmeal
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Milk
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9 x 13 inch pan.  Cream together butter, sugar and eggs.  After ingredients are combined, add milk.  Then slowly, add in dry ingredients until everything is well incorporated.  Pour ingredients in pan and bake for 30-40 minutes.  Serve warm and enjoy Granny’s masterpiece!
