Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 Infant Car Seat Review

When we were registering for baby things, safety was our top concern, especially when it came to the infant car seat.  In the end after spending weeks looking at reviews and safety ratings (I promise I’m not exaggerating, I was that crazy on my researching), we narrowed it down to the Maxi Cosi Mico, the Chicco Keyfit 30 and the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 infant car seats.  What I loved about the Peg Perego car seat when we were in the store was that it “felt” tough, like if anything did happen in this horrible L.A. traffic, that our baby would be safe.  This car seat provided the added security of Side Impact Protection which is what sold us.  The high quality seat is designed for babies up to 30 pounds or 30 inches, has an exclusive Comfort Dry pad, designed to keep the baby safe, dry and comfortable.  Ke’alohi fell asleep in this car seat countless times and always seemed comfy.  You can use the infant car seat with our without the base and it can even be used on an airplane.

Another thing I loved about the Peg Perego was that the seat is so easy to use with their one-hand adjustment of the 5-point restraint belt system, as well as the quick release buckle.  The infant car seat is compatible with all other Peg Perego strollers and is compatible with most infant car seat strollers like the Maclaren Easy Traveller (what we used) and the Baby Trend Snap ‘N’ Go.  The only thing that I didn’t love about the seat was that it’s pretty heavy, but in it’s defense, that’s what made me feel like the car seat was “tough” and could protect our baby if anything happened.  Some people mentioned that the car seat would make the babies warm in the summer months, but we combated this with the Meeno Baby infant car seat liner which we also loved to use and after purchasing that, we never had a problem.

We absolutely loved our infant car seat and if we had to do it all over again, would purchase it again without hesitation.  The peace of mind that we got knowing that she was safe and if any did happen she would be okay was worth the higher price tag.  You will not be disappointed in quality and safety of the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 infant car seat.

We did love it. Right now we are dealing with trying to find the stroller we want. Do you have any recommendations from when Emma and Cameron were in one?

  2. Elizabeth says:

Did you buy the bucket seat liner or the car seat liner?

  3. If you tossed out the original packaging, check the black support bars
for the labels A or B; the A bar is the larger of the two.
They come in fun colours and designs so the children feel they it.
Its job is to maintain the car seat from any spit ups, spills or other usual occurrences that
happen as the baby develops and grows.

  4. The car seat covers are washable and handy, and another benefit of
using them is that they can be replaced swiftly.
No matter how far you tend to go or take sharp turns, the baby
is kept safe and cozy in a car seat. If seat belt keeps the adult safe, a
good baby car seat keeps the baby safe.
