At this appointment with Dr. Ouchi, Ke’alohi weighed in at 22 pounds and 13 ounces, measured 29.25 inches and her head circumference was 18.5 inches. Dr. Ouchi was right last appointment when she said that once Ke’alohi started being active, her height and weight would start to even out. Ke’alohi is now in the 95th percentile for weight and in the 90th percentile for height.
We made this appointment a little earlier than her actual 10-month birthday because we wanted to follow up with Dr. Ouchi on Ke’alohi’s ear infection and perforated eardrum. To our surprise and excitement, Ke’alohi’s ear infection is completely gone AND her eardrum is also healed too! We are so excited to know that our little one is back to normal and now we know what to look for next time we think she might be sick or have an ear infection. We also talked more about feeding her more table foods and started to introduce cheeses into her diet. I still can’t believe that before we know it, she will be eating what we are eating too.
We were so happy to have one of our first appointments without any shots; so happy that I forgot to bring my camera. Boo. We will be going back in two months for her twelve-month/one-year appointment. I am already starting the grieving process for her upcoming birthday because I’m not ready for her to be that old!
