The End of an Era… Saying Goodbye to the Infant Car Seat…

I have been putting off transferring Ke’alohi into a convertible car seat for a while now.  I have been dreading giving up her infant car seat because it is the last big thing that shows that she is a baby, my baby.  Even though we have talked and talked about how we need a bigger car seat, I wasn’t emotionally ready to “lose” my infant.  I desperately want Ke’alohi to stay small and continue to be my “baby girl.”  She is slowly becoming my “little girl” and I don’t like it one bit.  When will this growing up get easier?

I seriously feel like it was just last month when Lucas and I were in Babies ‘R’ Us picking out our Peg Perego car seat and talking about how one day we are going to bring our baby home in it.  Wasn’t it just a week or two ago that we brought her home from the hospital all tiny in her car seat?  Nope, Ke’alohi is almost 10 months old and is her own little person with a personality bigger than herself.  Here is our first picture of Ke’alohi in her car seat and the last picture in it before we moved her to the convertible car seat.  How time flies…
