We spent the morning doing what we needed most, relaxing from the crazy 1st birthday picnic we had yesterday. After a couple hours of lounging in bed and hanging out in the living room we headed down to Manhattan Beach to meet up with Jenn, Jon, Jacob, Jenna and Aaron. The beach had wonderful weather and we had a great time spending some time in the sand watching the babies play together and eat sand. Ke’alohi was just going to town on the sand and we kept trying to keep her hand out of it but she still managed to find a way to eat more.
When we brought the babies down to the water Ke’alohi was okay with it at first. Then a big wave came in and even though she didn’t get too wet, it scared the **** out of her and after that she was very hesitant for us to take her near the water. Jacob on the other hand LOVED the water and couldn’t get enough of it at his feet. If he had his way, he would have made Jenn go all the way into the water and made her stay out for as long as possible. You can tell that our babies love each other because most of the time Ke’alohi was flirting with Jacob by trying to get at this hat or glasses and Jacob was either with his hand on her leg or trying to pull her swimsuit off. Hahaha, young love! Our babies are such cute beach bums!
