I think the title of my post pretty much sums it up perfectly because the trip back home, even in first class, went terrible. Do not let this cute picture of Lucas and Ke’alohi fool you; Lucas, myself and some of the passengers beside us had a LONG five and a half hours. Out of whole flight, Ke’alohi cried around two hours of it off and on. On top of that, Ke’alohi threw up on me and kicked my glass of coke all over Lucas, making his shirt turn from light blue to brown instantly. And if that wasn’t enough, Ke’alohi had a pee blowout diaper in every one of her outfits we had!
Once we landed in Hawaii, we were so happy to change her into just a diaper and send her to Puna and Opa who were more than happy to step in as reinforcements.
Seeing Ke’alohi for the first time in the airport with only a diaper on, I thought to myself, she is already rocking the comfortable lifestyle of Hawaii. Then when we heard about your flight we felt so bad. Doesn’t matter if you are flying first class. When your baby is crying and fussy, there is no enjoying the extra leg room or yummy food. But once Opa and I saw Ke’alohi, we just couldn’t imagine that our mo’opuna was the same baby you were describing on the plane. Oh no, not our Ke’alohi. You must have been talking about somebody else’s baby!
