Ke’alohi and I survived Lucas’ first business trip!!! Because of Lucas’ promotion earlier this month, his company sent all the new “promotees” to Atlanta for training. Lucas left Monday afternoon and got back late tonight and Ke’alohi and I couldn’t be happier that Daddy is home safe. I quickly learned that parenting has greatly evolved from when our parents had us. I remember when my dad would go on business trips trips, we would get to talk to him on the phone and now there are so many other ways to stay in contact with loved ones. Ke’alohi and I had a favorite way to talk to Lucas; video chatting! By the end of his trip, Ke’alohi thought that any time I was on the computer it was because I was looking and talking to Daddy.
We are ecstatic that Lucas is back and hope that it’s a LONG time until he needs to leave us again.
Communication is soooo savvy now. How wonderful that Ke’alohi can see her daddy!
