Aden + Anais Sleeping Bags Review

sleeping bag

I can't say anything negative about Aden + Anais, I absolutely love them.  Plain and simple, they make some of the best products in "baby land."  Once we got hooked on the blankets from swaddling Ke'alohi the first couple months of her life, she started wiggling out of the swaddles.  To our excitement, there was a great alternative to swaddling without Lucas and I having to leave a blanket in the crib, the Aden + Anais Sleeping Bag. Even … [Read more...]

Finally Hitting the Beach

Beach Us

I can't believe that it has taken us this long to go to the beach, but we have finally made our way to the surf and sand.  I was not going to let us leave Hawaii again without going to the beach and having her rock her little Roxy bikini that Auntie Nalani got her.  Since it was getting late in the afternoon, we decided that we didn't want to drive all the way into town to Waikiki and risk Ke'alohi having a meltdown and not enjoying her time … [Read more...]

Visiting Great-Granny Judy and Great-Grandpa Ben

Visiting Granny and Grandpa

Before we headed to lunch for my parent's anniversary, we stopped by the cemetery where my grandparents' niche is.  We replaced the flowers that were in the vase with some new flowers and spent a couple minutes saying hi to Granny and Grandpa.  This is the first time they got to see Ke'alohi walking and I'm sure they were smiling down on her as she was exploring and walking around their resting place. We miss you!   … [Read more...]

Happy Anniversary Puna and Opa!

opa and puna

Today marks 34 years from the big day that my parents said "I do."  I still can't believe that they have been happily married for that long.  We were really excited to celebrate with them by going out to lunch at Assagio's, one of my mom and I's favorite Italian restaurants.  They make the most unbelievable bread and one of the best salads I've ever eaten: their bay shrimp salad. Happy Anniversary Puna and Opa! … [Read more...]

Ke’alohi’s Baby Lū’au!

kealohi cake

What a great day today was at Sea Life Park!  I don't think Lucas and I could have asked for a more beautiful and fun day full of great food, family and friends.  The only complaint I could have about the day was that it was HOT!  When we first arrived there to set-up, we had no doubts that it was going to be a beautiful, bright and sunny day.  We were so excited that it wasn't going to be overcast but I was worried about the opposite now; I … [Read more...]

Ke’alohi Loves her Opa!

opa and kealohi

Ke'alohi can not get enough of Opa!  After we left Bridget, Ely and Ilikea, we met up with my parents for lunch at this new place Fatboy's in Koko Marina Shopping Center.  They make gourmet plate lunches and definitely did not disappoint.  After lunch, we walked around a bit but Ke'alohi got some special treatment and got to ride on Opa's shoulders.  She laughed and giggled the whole time and was loving her ride with Opa! … [Read more...]

Cinnamon’s and Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens

Ducks Us

I was so excited to meet up with Bridget, Ely and Ilikea today because we were going to Cinnamon's!!! The last time we went there with them we were introduced for the first time to their famous red velvet pancakes, which were nothing short of heaven on a plate.  The six of us always have a great time together and we love spending as much time as we can with them.  Ironically, we ordered the same thing; the girls got the red velvet pancakes with … [Read more...]
