The Dial’s Kawela Bay Christmas Party

christmas party

Our friends Bridget and Ely hosted a Christmas party today at Bridget's family's beach house at Kawela Bay.  So after seeing Nalani and Jason's house, we made the "trek" up to the North Shore.  Lucas always makes fun of me when I moan and groan about going to the North Shore because to me that is SOOO far.  Realistically, the North Shore is only 45 miles away but in relation to the whole island, that's clearly on the opposite side … [Read more...]

Visiting Auntie Nalani and Uncle Jason’s House

nalani and jason

Nalani and Jason have been building their house for a while now and they are so close to being done!  I know that they would say that they are not even close to being done but when we were there, it looked awesome and is really starting to look like a house!  When we were there this past March, they only had the cider block foundation for the bottom floor situated.  Now, all of that is done plus the framing and roofing is almost … [Read more...]

First Time Playing in the Sand!

sand

We took advantage of being just feet away from the beach while eating at the Kaimana hotel to take Ke'alohi to the shore to dip her feet in the water and to play in the sand.  At first she cried and didn't like the coldness of the water so then we tried the sand.  It took her a while to get used to the texture of the sand but then she started to dig her toes into it and move around.  I'm not sure who had more fun at the beach, us … [Read more...]

Ala Moana with Auntie Bridget, Uncle Ely and Ilikea

ala moana

Today has been quite an eventful day.  Since getting into Hawaii we have gone to Target, Wal-Mart and Babies 'R' Us to pick up things for Ke'alohi while we are here.  After we hit up those stores for diapers, wipes, baby food and a high chair, we dropped everything off at home so that we had an empty car to pick up my parents and their things from the airport.  Ironically, we got into Hawaii a couple hours before my parents got … [Read more...]

We’re Leaving on a Jet Plane…
