Our friends Bridget and Ely hosted a Christmas party today at Bridget's family's beach house at Kawela Bay. So after seeing Nalani and Jason's house, we made the "trek" up to the North Shore. Nalani and Jason have been building their house for a while now and they are so close to being done! We took advantage of being just feet away from the beach while eating at the Kaimana hotel to take Ke'alohi to the shore to dip her feet in the water and to play in the sand. At first she cried and didn't like the coldness of the water so then we tried the sand. Obviously, one of our first visits had to be Auntie Nalani. She would not have let us be on the same island as her for more than a few hours before seeing us. We met up with her at her office to see the lo`i just below her building. Today has been quite an eventful day. Since getting into Hawaii we have gone to Target, Wal-Mart and Babies 'R' Us to pick up things for Ke'alohi while we are here. After we hit up those stores for diapers, wipes, baby food and a high chair, we dropped everything off at home so that we had an empty car to pick up my parents and their things from the airport.
