Daycare Christmas Party

daycare party

We are so lucky to have such a great daycare to send Ke'alohi to.  Every holiday season, they have a party for all the children and their parents to eat food, hang out and open presents.  They were so nice to move the party up a week so that Ke'alohi, Lucas and I could make it before our trip to Hawaii.  Emme, one of the daycare workers, dressed as Santa while Nana and Tatiana took pictures and got the food ready.  Santa was a … [Read more...]

The Grove with Uncle Dan, Aunt Karen and The Kids

grove

Today was quite an eventful day, largely because we got to see Uncle Dan, Aunt Karen, Bailey, Jocelyn, Aiden and Julian!  It is always so nice to hang out with them and watch how much Ke'alohi loves their hugs and kisses. We met at The Grove in the afternoon to shop, have dinner and meet Santa.  Anyone who knows Los Angeles, knows that The Grove's Santa is the best.  On most weekends there is a three to four hour wait to see him … [Read more...]

Army Navy Game…

army navy

Today was the Army Navy football game.  They call it the "Game of Honor" but in our family it's a family feud.  You see, my brother is the a senior at the Naval Academy in Annapolis and Lucas' brother is in Army ROTC at The University of San Francisco.  So today, Ke'alohi and I cheered on Navy while Lucas cheered on both teams (smart man).  Though we were not surprised that Navy won for the 10th year in a row, Army did … [Read more...]

First Time on All Fours!

all fours

Friday is still my favorite day of the week.  Fridays mean that Lucas gets off work early and picks up Ke'alohi and brings her to my office.  When he brought her into the office today some of my coworkers thought it would be cool to teach her how to crawl.  Mommy did NOT think this was cool!  I don't want my little girl moving and shaking.  She is still my "little girl" and I don't want her to grow up too fast. … [Read more...]

Meeting Santa!

santa

We were lucky enough to meet Santa tonight while he was in our neighborhood with a few local police officers.  We had been wanting Ke'alohi to meet him for some time, but every time we went to the mall there was a long line to see him or we weren't dressed up enough for our first Santa encounter.  Well fate took over tonight in Culver City where Santa was taking a break from getting his lists and toys ready for Christmas to spend the … [Read more...]

Mommy’s Got a New Phone!

iphone

I was wrong...  I know that Lucas is probably rolling over laughing because I have a tough time admitting when I'm wrong but I need to come clean.  When we were upgrading our phones a couple months back, Lucas knew he wanted to switch to Android but I was still on the fence and wanted the same phone that Lucas got.  You see, Lucas is a closet tech-y nerd: he loves phones and gadgets.  I knew that if I got the same phone as him … [Read more...]
