One of Lucas' best friends, Nema, had his birthday this past week and we all went to dinner tonight to celebrate. This week has been full of changes. It all started with Ke'alohi's six-month doctor's appointment when we talked about giving her water, solids and a sippy cup! I thought I was done with "big girl" things but then I remembered that we were starting Ke'alohi's new Gymboree class. Yup, we did it; we got Ke'alohi's ears pierced! After much discussion and consideration, Lucas and I decided that we did want to pierce Ke'alohi's ears now that she is young and we can take care of them. This way by the time she knows what earrings are and wants to change them as often as she changes her clothes, we will have less of a chance that they will have problems or get infected.
