We LOVE the Park!

Swings

The three of us love going to the park.  With the weather so nice, not to hot and not too cold, it is the perfect time of the year to start heading outside.  We went to one of our favorite parks in Santa Monica, Douglas Park, and this time we brought our blanket and stroller out to spend the afternoon in the grass and in the swings.  We had so much fun playing in the grass and eating snacks as Ke'alohi climbed and rolled over Lucas and I like … [Read more...]

BornFree Bottles Review

bottles

As you know by now, I research the hell out of baby things before I make a purchase; with bottles it was no different.  We started Ke'alohi off the first couple weeks with Playtex Drop-Ins because it was what my mom used and she swore by them.  We liked them a lot and didn't have any problems with them other than the fact that we were constantly buying liners and I knew that it would get "old," fast.  I knew I wanted a "regular" bottle and … [Read more...]

Project 52:18 | Early Mornings

IMG_1246

Motherhood is... early mornings Lucas and I were never ones to sleep in until 11 am or noon on the weekends but we did take our time to get out of bed on and sometimes it would be pushing 9 or even 10 in the morning, back in the old days.  All of that flew right out of the window when we had Ke'alohi and our "sleeping in" means 7:30 or 8 in the morning, whenever the little one wakes up.  Ohh how our life has changed, but on the bright side … [Read more...]

Someone is Getting a Little Attitude…

attitude

Lucas will be very quick to say that Ke'alohi got her attitude and "diva-ness" from me, but we all know it came from him... Hahaha.  Feeding Ke'alohi is getting harder and harder since she now wants to feed herself and she loves to hit the spoon when you feed her.  Most nights end like the pictures you see if we dare to give her pureed foods or anything she can't pick up herself.  This makes for great picture opportunities but messy and … [Read more...]

Eleven Months Old!

IMG_1252

Knowing that May is just a couple days away and Ke'alohi is just a few weeks away from turning one has been eating away at me.  I miss my "little burrito" that would lay in my arms for hours and fall in and out of sleep in my lap! Ten Facts about Ke'alohi at Eleven Months: 1. Weighs 22 pounds and 14 ounces and measures 30.25 inches. 2. Has grown tired of her walker and has graduated to her push walker. 3. Favorite foods are string … [Read more...]

Project 52:17 | Unexpected

IMG_1209

Motherhood is... unexpected There are so many things I thought I would or wouldn't do as a mom before I had Ke'alohi.  I never expected to be making homemade babyfood, wanting to stay at home with Ke'alohi instead of work and I never in a million years expected I would use cloth diapers.  I was alway intrigued by them, but they were always kind of a novelty that I would brush aside as something that just "wasn't for me."  Well, this week … [Read more...]
