Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 Infant Car Seat Review

infant car seat

When we were registering for baby things, safety was our top concern, especially when it came to the infant car seat.  In the end after spending weeks looking at reviews and safety ratings (I promise I'm not exaggerating, I was that crazy on my researching), we narrowed it down to the Maxi Cosi Mico, the Chicco Keyfit 30 and the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 infant car seats.  What I loved about the Peg Perego car seat when we were in … [Read more...]

First Time Rocking Shoes!

photo (4)

After we went to Gymboree today, we headed to the Citadel outlets to go shopping.  Puna totally spoiled Ke'alohi and got her a ton of cute clothes and socks at Carters.  The daycare had asked us to get Ke'alohi shoes because she is using her walker alot and is in the "pre-walking" stage.  We want her to get used to wearing shoes because we don't want her to get too used to being barefoot all the time or only used to wearing socks.  We were … [Read more...]

Gymboree with Puna

IMG_0292

My mom hasn't been to a Gymboree class with us since October which is crazy since we were still in Level 1 then.  Now that we are almost done with Level 2 she got to see the craziness that is this class and how all the babies are very active now.  No more are the classes where we get to sit next to our baby laying on the ground.  Hahaha.  I think my mom's favorite part of the class has to be seeing Ke'alohi climb on all the equipment and when … [Read more...]

Project 52:12 | Fascinating

Fascinating

Motherhood is... fascinating Watching babies grow up and seeing how their mind processing things is absolutely fascinating.  The whole process of her growing up amazes me everyday.  Ke'alohi's newest obsession is watching the washing machine.  We have a front-loading washer and whenever I try to load or unload clothes, she is right there watching me, practically trying to climb in.  Once I am able to load and start a wash, she can seriously … [Read more...]

Pasta with Roasted Butternut Squash, Pancetta & Goat Cheese

IMG_0765

I love this dinner for many reasons.  First, this pasta dinner is so simple to put together on the weekday and the cooking time is less than an hour and most of that time is just waiting for the butternut squash and onions to roast.  I adapted this recipe from Giada De Laurentiis by adding pancetta which Lucas and I love and most of the times we leave out the walnuts.  You really can do this recipe with so many different pastas and different … [Read more...]

Hello Convertible Car Seat!

IMG_0773

There may or may not be tears coming down my cheeks right now... This morning, Ke'alohi got to ride in her convertible car seat for the first time to daycare.  You could definitely tell that she had a ton more room compared to her infant car seat and she seemed to be adjusting to the new seat pretty well. The car seat that we chose was the Britax Boulevard 70 CS in Sophia.  We knew that we wanted to get a Britax car seat because they are one … [Read more...]

The End of an Era… Saying Goodbye to the Infant Car Seat…

car seat 2

I have been putting off transferring Ke'alohi into a convertible car seat for a while now.  I have been dreading giving up her infant car seat because it is the last big thing that shows that she is a baby, my baby.  Even though we have talked and talked about how we need a bigger car seat, I wasn't emotionally ready to "lose" my infant.  I desperately want Ke'alohi to stay small and continue to be my "baby girl."  She is slowly becoming my … [Read more...]
