Miss USA 2012 Pageant

brandie evening gown

I just want to send a huge shout out to one of my oldest and closest friends, Brandie Cazimero, who competed in the Miss USA pageant as Miss Hawaii USA  tonight.  Although she didn't win, I am so unbelievably proud of her.  She is the all around package: smart, gorgeous and caring.  She looked stunning in everything from her swimsuit, opening number dress and her evening gown. Hawaii is so lucky to have such an amazing woman … [Read more...]

Britax Boulevard 70 CS Review

sophia

When we were looking into convertible car seats, I knew that I wanted a Britax, no questions asked.  They are always on the top of safety reviews, customer reviews and on the consumer report ratings.  The only problem we really had was picking which Britax car seat that we wanted to get.  Right away, we eliminated the Advocate because we thought it was way too big. Even though we had a small SUV,  I just couldn't imagine having that huge … [Read more...]

Project 52:22 | Sharing

Sharing

Motherhood is... sharing When you become a mom, you learn to share everything you are and everything you have.  You learned what it is to share when you are a little kid, but it's not until you are a parent do you know what it's like to really share your whole self.  This is Ke'alohi and Jacob sharing his Sophie the Giraffe.  Ahh, young love. If you want to see more blogs also participating in Project 52 check out Aubrey My Love, Blossoms … [Read more...]

Duke’s Second Surgery

Twelve-Month Doctor’s Appointment

IMG_1598

At this appointment with Dr. Ouchi, Ke’alohi weighed in at 23 pounds and 15 ounces, measured 30.5  inches long and her head circumference was 18.5 inches.  Ke’alohi is now in the 90th percentile for weight and in the 90th percentile for height.  I am so glad that she is starting to even out in her weight and height percentiles! This appointment was very exciting and sad at the same time because there are lots of changes in store for us. … [Read more...]

Happy Memorial Day!

IMG_1546

We spent the morning doing what we needed most, relaxing from the crazy 1st birthday picnic we had yesterday.  After a couple hours of lounging in bed and hanging out in the living room we headed down to Manhattan Beach to meet up with Jenn, Jon, Jacob, Jenna and Aaron.  The beach had wonderful weather and we had a great time spending some time in the sand watching the babies play together and eat sand.  Ke'alohi was just going to town on the … [Read more...]

One Year Old!

one year

Where has the time gone and how is that that a year has already gone by since I first held you in my arms?  You are the most loving, independent and smart baby  I know.  Btw, I totally blew it and forgot to take a picture with her sign because of all the craziness with the party today! Ugh. Ten Facts about Ke'alohi at One Year: 1. Weighs 23 pounds and 15 ounces and measures 30.5 inches. 2. Walking everywhere and anywhere. 3. Hair is … [Read more...]
