Sara’s Baby Shower for Juliet

shower

I hadn't realized how long I have known Sara until we talked about it at her shower.  We have known each other for over ten years!  We both went to Kamehameha Schools for high school, Loyola Marymount University for college and we both met and fell in love with our "white boys" here on the mainland.  Sara and Rob's first child, Pierce Kamauliola is about to turn two and is the cutest and most kolohe (rascal) little boy ever.  I know Ke'alohi … [Read more...]

Bugaboo Bee Plus Review

bee

Having a Bugaboo stroller was something that I always thought about and wanted but knew wasn't realistic.  We just didn't have the money to throw at a $700 stroller.  So I settled on a more rational stroller.  My "rational" stroller lasted six months before I finally gave up on it and realized that it just wasn't for us and the lifestyle we lived.  Thankfully the stars aligned that week and Bugaboo had their annual sample sale and we were … [Read more...]

Project 52:24 | Happiness

photo 1

Motherhood is... happiness Sometimes, even though we have a baby, it's okay to act like a kid.  We took out the top layer of our wedding cake this week to eat on our anniversary and ended up smashing cake in each others face since we didn't do it on our wedding night.  Lucas knew better than to try any funny business when I was in my wedding dress so we shared our cake "properly."  This time we went nuts and had a big cake fight and it was … [Read more...]

First Molar Broke Through!

photo

It can't believe how fast Ke'alohi's teeth are coming in.  Right now she has four teeth on the top, three teeth (almost four) on the bottom and as of today she has her first molar that has broken through on the back right side!  She took it quite well and it even looks like one is coming in on the left side! There was no way that she was going to let me get a picture with her mouth open so we will have to settle for this picture of her and I at … [Read more...]

Surprise Visit from Puna & Opa!

Traveling, especially by airplane can be chaotic.  Today, my parents were flying from Kansas City, MO to Dallas, TX to Honolulu, HI but somehow ended up in Los Angeles, CA.  It all started in Dallas, where they found out that their flight to Hawaii had been overbooked.  My parents decided that it wasn't that big of a deal to them if they took a little bit of a later flight to get home so they decided to let American Airlines "bump" them from … [Read more...]

Our Three-Year Anniversary!

56. Grass Formal

What a year?  Is it possible to say that I feel like I have aged 10 years in the last 12 months but at the same time it feels like it went by in a flash?  Hahaha.  This has been one of the hardest and most rewarding years for Lucas and I.  We are so in love with Ke'alohi and can easily say that she is the best thing that has ever happened to us and that she is the best parts of us both. People were right when they said that first year of … [Read more...]

Our Haircut Debacle

haircut

Ke'alohi was in desparate need of another haircut.  Her bangs were in her eyes and the back of her hair was having a mind of it's own, especially when she woke up from sleeping.  To say that she gets bad bed head would be a understatement.  She definitely got that from my mom and my brother.  Nothing settles their hair down except a shower.  Hahaha.  We headed up to Lollicut for a trim but were surprised with how unhappy she was. … [Read more...]
